Family, friends and former students gathered at the Gage Park Shelter house Saturday to celebrate a 4th of July birthday early.
A Berryton native Wayne Howbert is celebrating his 90 th birthday. He says, "One thing that has remained constant is his love for Washburn Rural high school."
After teaching junior blues for more than 35 years how could he not...this cancer survivor..school bus driver...softball coach and mentor...doesn't forget a face either.
Many former students of him attended the birthday bash and say he is as sweet as ever. Happy Birthday 90th Wayne!
