Law enforcement officers took to the stand Wednesday in the second day of trial for the man accused of killing a Jefferson County farmer.
Adam Hooper is charged with killing 50 year old Dale Kingsbury in August 2009.
The defense is claiming insanity for Hooper who underwent a mental evaluation and was found competent to stand trial.
Prosecutors on the other hand are pushing for first degree murder.
Dale Kingsbury's body was found in a cistern at his own farm last summer where Hooper was staying in exchange for work.
Bloodstained evidence was presented in court Wednesday along with pictures of the home where the alleged killing took place as well as the first recorded interview between the accused Adam Hooper and
Where he says he beat Kingsbury repeatedly.....more than a hundred times.
The testimony continues this week.
