This Easter Sunday crime has brought some community members grief in their neighborhoods.
A young child in the neighborhood says, "I heard rapid firing..ducked under the covers. I was scared."
Easter Sunday for this youngster didn't start the way his parents imagined it.
The youngster's mother says, "I was sound asleep woke up to what sounded like a string of firecrackers."
That firecracker sound were gunshots.
A home on the 2400 block of SW Valleybrook was shot at multiple times no one was home but ...13 shell casings were found with 8 bullet holes in the home.
This wasn't the only community to be struck by crime. Shots were fired on the 1900 block of Illinois.....also over on 6th and Lake behind the El Azteca Club and on the 2000 block of SE Massachusetts which resulted in 22 year old Forrest Dwayne Sanders' death. A young man who lost his brother the same way in 2008.
Toepka police officer Michael Vargas says, "Everyone can get a gun nowadays, sometimes gang related...drugs. Fueds that over time escalate."
