Democrats and Republicans put politics aside Tuesday morning to gather at the 49th annual Kansas prayer breakfast.
Danni Boatwright was a featured speaker.
It was a packed house at the Ramada hotel and convention center... with the crowd ready to hear from respected leaders throughout the state of Kansas.
The purpose of the National Prayer breakfast is to promote non denominational Christian activities such as prayer groups, bible study and other functions similar to the breakfast.
The Governor was on hand as well as U.S. Senators, Congressman, State Legislators and church go-ers from all denominations.
Among them was CBS's survivor winner and Miss Kansas 1996....Danni Boatwright sharing her experiences.
She spoke about the struggles her mother went through raising her and her brothers as a single mom, her time on survivor and her close relationship with christ.
The breakfast is sponsored by Topeka Fellowship Incorporated. A group of local businessmen who gather weekly for prayer and bible study.
