Topeka Optometrist Says Goodbye
The longest serving Optometrist in Topeka says good bye to his patients after more than 40 years of practice.
Dr. Larry Harris has seen more than 40,000 patients in his practice here in Topeka.... one patient has been there since day one and was there Monday for her last check up.
42 years ago Ellen Jackson strolled into Dr. Larry Harris's Optometry office for the first time.
Every 10 years Dr. Harris would give Ellen a free eye exam and a free pair of glasses....little did she know she would also be his last patient before he retires.
Dr. Lance Eisenbarth will be taking over and says he is excited to continue the good care Dr. Harris has provided for so many years.
Dr. Harris plans on documenting all of his experiences from the Army and dropping into the office from time to time.
