This was the first Landon lecture of the Spring 2010 semester...even though the first Landon lecture of the 2010 semester at Kansas State University was moved from Mcain auditorium to forum hall due to that bomb threat....the director of National Intelligence Dennis C. Blair's speech went off without a hitch..and a bit of humor.
Security personnel swept Mcain auditorium and no bombs were found. Mcain re-opened at 2 o'clock. All the while....the director of national intelligence Dennis C. Blair was giving his speech on national security.
He also mentioned the 16 different national intelligence agencies like the CIA and FBI and as he said shared his shameless pitch to recruit Kstate students into the intel community.
