A house fire leaves one man without a home Monday night. A fire that started in the garage quickly spread to the roof of his Topeka home.

Fire officials are still trying to determine what caused the fire on 6700 block of Northwest Rochester Road, but they say that it started in the garage and made it up to the roof of the house.

No one was hurt.

The Salvation Army arrived to lend a helping hand. Officials say it took about 2 hours to control the blaze.
