Fort Riley Troops Pack Up for Afghanistan
Another group of U.S. Army Soldiers bid farewell Wednesday to their loved ones as they prepare to head to Afghanistan.
When in country the Soldiers will put their law enforcement skills to work. It'll certainly be an experience they'll never forget with their second family side by side. The 2nd platoon of the 977th military police company, 97th MP Battalion, is set to deploy to Afghanistan. While deployed, the platoon will conduct military police operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
