TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Road crews are back to work on 29th street between Urish and Wanamaker Roads. The stretch is being widened from 3 to 5 lanes.
29th from Urish to Kingsrow was widened last year. At that time, crews also made the roundabout at Urish and 29th bigger.
Now crews move east, widening the stretch of 29th between Wanamaker and Kingsrow. At least one lane of traffic in both directions will remain open for the duration of the project.
The construction includes a makeover of the 29th and Wanamaker intersection this summer.
