Sunflower Music Festival of Topeka, Kansas presents an annual series of orchestra concerts, chamber music evenings, educational projects and other artistic events of the highest caliber. These events occur throughout a two week period each June in White Concert Hall on the Washburn University campus.
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - It's classical, with a little jazz tossed in, for this year's Sunflower Music Festival.
The annual event begins Friday and runs through June 15th. The highlight of the festival is a free concert at 7:30 pm each night. All the concerts are at Washburn's White Concert Hall.
Board President Myrl Duncan appeared on 13 News at 4 to talk about the festival and lineup of performers.
