TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Hundreds took the plunge this Kansas day. The chill in the air set the stage for the polar plunge run and walk at lake shawnee swim beach Saturday.
Each winter across the state hundreds face freezing waters and take the plunge for a good cause. This year: Special Olympics of Kansas.
The topeka Polar Plunge is in its 7th year.
If you would like to volunteer for next year's polar plunge contact the Special Olympics of Kansas at 1-800-444- 9803 or visit their website at www.ksso.org.
