2018 Thomas L. King Lecture in Religious Studies

The 2017-2018 Thomas L. King Lecture in Religious Studies will feature Dr. Barry S. Crawford, professor, Emeritus, of Religious Studies at Washburn University. The title of his talk is “The King Lecture at 35: Retrospect and Prospect.” Crawford was responsible for the King Lecture from its inception through last year, and he will offer his reflections on past lecturers and provide a roadmap for the future of the lecture series. Crawford will deliver his talk Wednesday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m., in Washburn Rooms A and B in the Memorial Union on the Washburn University campus. This event is free and the public is welcome.

Why Not Wednesday

Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church, 7433 SW 29th Street, Topeka, KS will be hosting
“Why Not Wednesdays” for children three years through 6th grade. Children are invited to join the fun every Wednesday (except March 21 and 28) evening from 6:10 to 7:30 p.m. from through April 11 to explore the Bible together. Leaders will plan fun activities as children visit stations such as cooking, games, missions, art, science, storytelling/drama, and spiritual practices. This is a free program.
