TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)--Scott Magnet Elementary School was put on lockdown Friday afternoon as police investigate reports of two individuals dressed in camouflage, armed with a gun near the school.
The Topeka Police Department told 13 News that a lockdown was underway at 3:00 p.m. as officers investigated reports of two armed individuals with a rifle.
The lockdown was lifted by 3:20 p.m. according to a staff member at Scott.
No further information was immediately released.
13 News was told that people sometimes shoot guns at a creek in the area. Scott Magnet is located at 401 SE Market St Topeka, KS 66607.
