November has arrived and, with it, my first cold of the season! Maybe it's the up and down temps, maybe it was the long flights I recently took. Whatever the case, I went from a tickle in my throat Monday to regular dates with the tissues Tuesday night!

As my nose competes with Rudolph's in the redness department, I'm already getting advice on my Facebook page about how to beat these pesky germs into the ground. Of course, my idea was ice cream to sooth the sore throate, but I'm also hearing salt water and antihistamines. Funny, no one's mentioned chicken soup yet - but a lot of you are agreeing with my thinking on ice cream ;-)

So while I head to the dressing room to cover up my red nose, I'd love to hear your tried and true methods for beating the bugs - and holding them at bay in the first place!
