Whew! What a whirlwind of a summer it has been! As most of you know, I am planning a wedding to my bestfriend in November. November seems like a ways away- right?? WRONG.
There are some girls who have had their weddings planned out since they were 5 years old. I am not one of these girls. I always knew I wanted a big wedding- but that's about as detailed as I got before I got engaged last December. I have had a unique experience planning a wedding- my brother just got married in July (also to a girl named Amy!) So, I was giving myself "leeway" in planning- letting them have their day before I started going overboard with mine. I had most of the big (easy) stuff done- the dress, the reception locale, the ceremony site, DJ, food, etc. But now it is the little stuff.... And there is A LOT of little stuff.
What makes it even harder- is that I am planning a wedding that will take place in Minnesota, and I'm obviously in Kansas. Kind of hard to meet with a decorator, florist, cake taste when you are 7 hours away from everything. I belong to theknot.com website- which actually is a FANTASTIC tool for those planning weddings. I just got my "3 months to go" email and about had a heart attack. SO much that needs to be done- and really, not a lot of time. In fact, I've been starting the "haven't-sent-out-invitations-and-wedding-is-only-10-days-away" nightmares...
To be honest, I'm not a good wedding planner. I don't really LIKE it that much. I am not good at making decisions, and always second guess myself. What is some good wedding planning advice?? Preferably something that will help me with less than 3 months left! :)
