Hot tea. Salt water. Zicam. Chicken soup. All advice I'm getting since catching the newsroom bug I'd managed to keep at bay for the past two months!
Talk about bad time to be losing one's voice. Ralph is off and Suzie, who'd normally be called upon to back us up, is covering the Dana Chandler trial. So, here I am, chugging hot tea and daytime cold medicine and trying to keep my mouth shut - probably to the delight of all my colleagues!
My husband had this same thing show up more than two weeks ago and is just now getting over it - small consolation. He went to the doctor and was told a virus is going around that just seems to hang on that long. The good news is that other than coughing and sounding bad, I really don't feel too bad.
Still, I'd like to shake it sooner rather than later. So hit me up with your best home remedies - what's going to work?!
