As I debate another cup of coffee and daydream about those donuts still in the sales office, I came across an article on Yahoo! Health promising five food that fight fatigue. No, coffee and baked goods are not on the list.
One food I was happy to see, however, was oatmeal! Points for me - I had it for breakfast today! The article says oatmeal is a great breakfast food because it gives you an instant boost of energy but without the sugar in many cereals that causes a mid-morning crash. Hmmmm...does it count if I put a heaping spoonful of sugar in my bowl?!
Got the muchies in the afternoon? Grab a handful of almonds or other nuts. Same thing - energy-producing vitamins and minerals without a lot of sugar.
