I cannot believe this day is actually here. My last day at WIBW-TV. I came to Topeka in September of 2008 as a naive, wide-eyed, hungry young girl, who had no idea what to expect. I feel like I am leaving with a wealth of knowledge and good friends. I have learned a LOT in my 3+ year tenure at WIBW, and I will truly truly miss my co-workers and all of you.
I want to express my thanks to each and every one of you. For giving me a chance to grow into my first career as an on-air meteorologist. For your comments and constructive criticism-- both the good and the bad. It made me a better forecaster, a better broadcaster and a stronger person.
I will certainly miss Topeka, but I am excited for the new chapter in my life (or at least, I’m trying to be! Change has never come that easy to me…) I am moving to Spokane, WA after my November wedding in Minnesota- my fiancé has taken a job there.
I am very blessed to have started my career at such an amazing station. I could not have asked for better bosses, better co-workers, a better weather team; a better station in which to begin my professional career. I could not have asked for better viewer or a better community. I have had so many great opportunities and memories here in Topeka, and it will always hold a special place in my heart.
Again thank you- and God bless!
