I love end-of-year lists - and what a year 2011 was! So much happened in our area that it's tough to pick out just a few top stories.
It was fun to have Tim Hrenchir of the Topeka Capital Journal visit our 4pm news Monday with his list of the top stories of the past year. Many of them have the potential to impact the year ahead. In case you missed it, here were Tim's picks:
Reading Damaged in May Tornado
Scrap Metal Theft Controversy
Norton Bonaparte Out, Dan Stanley In
Mars to Open Chocolate Factory
Dana Chandler Prosecuted in Murders
James Kahler Convicted in 4 Murders
No Prosecution in Domestic Batteries
Vic Miller Becomes City Judge
Sam Brownback's "Twitter" Controversy
Recall Drive Starts to Oust Larry Wilson
What do you think of the list? And what would you add to it?
