We're getting down to the nitty gritty in the high school basketball season.  Matt Blanchette and I were talking about who we think will win the Centennial League this year.  Matt thinks that it's going to be Hayden on the boys side.  I pick Highland Park.  On the ladies side we both think that Manhattan will win the title this year.  Chime in on who you think will win one of the toughest "Big Class" Leagues in the Sunflower State.

JB, wanted to know if you are aware that Kara Lee was chosen to play in the Mid Kansas All Star Basketball Classic hosted by Hutchinson JUCO which was played Sunday, March 28th, at 2:00. Kara Lee had 27 points, played her most amazing basketball game in her life, and deserves to be recognized for it. because we all know that..."nobody does it like..Kara Lee!!!" Kara plans to attend Hutch JUCO and play basketball next year. Perhaps an interview is justified for this performance in the game yesterday? The whole team played great together, no selfishness, dished off when appropriate. She was high scorer, their tema won 111 to 76. Kara also scored the 100th point. Please let me know what you think. Thank you for the years of the "kara lee" song...so many have enjoyed it. :)

We've had a great Big 12 Tourney featuring KU an K-State and now we're into March Madness - on your network no less- and you can't find anything to write about. Comeon, we won't care to watch if you don't give us your opinion on one of the highlights of the sports year!

Don't know #A classifications/Leagues ~ but proud of TWest's performance on the basketball court, on the band field and other avenues. Especially in March, most things get overshadowed because of basketball! However, it only means parents have to express their encouragement and support a bit louder and more consistently to inform students of all ages that "Excellent performance" is important regardless of the event or sport! Tell a teen their performance makes them SHINE! **Russell P**

The Trojans are peaking at the right time. They will win the league and go very far in the state tournament.

Just out of curiousity, why no talk about HS Bowling? Seaman boys have yet to lose this year and the Seaman girls team is holding their own, even with 2 starters out , 1 of them for the season!! GO VIKES!! Take Centennial, Regionals(again) and STATE!!

Response: Probably because I don't know enough about bowling to speak intelligently about it.

I don't know. HP has had some close calls this year and Topeka High is looking the best they have since X was there. I say T High has as much of a chance as any. Should be a fun race to watch though. HOY HOY MIGHTY TROY!!

Response: Well, they played 3 times and HP got 2 of em, but only 1 of those was for the league standings.
