In case you have missed the first 4 weeks of the Big 12 football season here are the standings, with games left in parenthesis.

1. Kansas State 3-1 (@Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, @Nebraska)

2. Iowa State 2-2 (@Texas A&M, Oklahoma St, Colorado, @Missouri)

3. Kansas 1-2 (@Texas Tech, @KSU, Nebraska, @Texas, Missouri)

4. Nebraska 1-2 (@Baylor, Oklahoma, @Kansas, Kansas State, @Colorado)

5. Colorado 1-2 (Missouri, Texas A@M, @Iowa St, @Oklahoma St, Nebraska)

6. Missouri 0-3 (@Colorado, Baylor, @KSU, Iowa St, Kansas)

Now before I tell you how I think this division will shape up in the end, here was my preseason prediction.

1. Kansas 5-3

2. Nebraska 5-3

3. Missouri 4-4

4. Kansas State 3-5

5. Colorado 3-5

6. Iowa State 1-7

Wow, what a difference a few games can make! Here is my prediction of what the Big 12 North standings will look like at the end of the year.

1. Kansas State 5-3

2. Kansas 4-4

3. Nebraska 4-4

4. Iowa State 3-5

5. Colorado 2-6

6. Missouri 2-6

This Big 12 North is Kansas States to lose, yes I said it, Bill Snyder is working a miracle in Manhattan. Because of it he is also my pick for Big 12 coach of the year. KSU by far has the easiest remaining schedule of all Big 12 North teams. The wildcats have 2 home games left against teams that look very beatable. Now I may have you laughing, but think about it. Kansas State may go in to both games, Kansas and Missouri, favored to win the ball game. It is very simple, Wildcats are Big 12 North champs if they can win two of their remaining four games.

Onto Kansas, the only team in the North that hasn’t had a QB controversy/fans questioning the coaches decision of who is starting at QB. KU should be running away with this race! This North crown was served on a silver platter to the Jayhawks and now find themselves fighting for scraps. This is what I believe KU will need to do in order to be crowned Big 12 North champs. Win 1 of these 2 road games, Texas Tech and Texas. Then turn around and beat KSU, Missouri, and Nebraska. I just don’t see that happening.

What are your thoughts? Do you agree with me? I want to hear from you! Dont be shy

I guess the experts were wrong about KSU not winning again this year. Go Cats, beat Mizzou

KSU is and should go to the big 12 game because they have an amazing coach and a talented football team that can beat you up on offense. I do see them versing Texas.....but even if im a Huge KSU fan i see KSU loosing by 10 points at least.

KU is way overrated, and they have been even during there Orange bowl win. Mangino is playing weak teams (like Snyder). When they play teams who are ranked, or atleast decent, they get slaughtered. Mangino has a hard time winnning on the road as well. I would say that the North could go to Anyone at this point. If K-state beats Mizzou and KU then they won the North. Whoever reaches 5 wins will go to Big12 Championship game

To whoevers team wins the North, don't count the Big 12 Championship as a lost quite yet. In 2003 Oklahoma was suppose to be the best team ever in college football, and KSU DESTROYED THEM.

Tanner your an idiot, KSU will lose at Oklahoma,Nebraska, and as a KU fan I will say they will lose at home against KU. They arn't going to win the North. The toughest part of their schedule starts this week, and now we can really see what this time is like. To be honest with you, whatever team wins the North is going to be embarrassed in December by most likely Texas. Very disappointed with the outcome so far in the North. O and now that KU is playing the 3rd sting QB for Tech, They SHOULD win. SHOULD being the key word there.

Tanner U-Genius, You are smarter than a Fox (or a KU grad). I totally agree with you. J

First North team to 5 wins gets a trip to Dallas. Let's play the hypothetical game here. "If" KU and KSU both win this week, good chance the KU-KSU game will be the 7 p.m. game next week. Whoda thunk!

Yes, I agree with you. KU just isn't doing as well as I thought they would this year. I don't think they can bet both Texas teams.

Posted by: Matt I agree....uk has showed nothing this year that leads me to believe they can win four out of five...one dimensional on offense (which leads to more Reesing int's) and an average at best defense...I agree, if KSU holds serve at home (which they should) they finish 5-3 and are north champs!!

Amazing to see KU reeling because of a weak defense and NU having one of the worst offenses imaginable. KSU is capable of playing well and winning or horrbly and getting slaughtered. Bill Snyder is the reason they will likely be ready to play and play well. Missouri? Has to be tough to be a Tiger fan.

Posted by: Jim Actually, Missouri clearly has the easiest schedule remaining, and then probably Iowa State. The Cyclones may actually be in better shape than K-State. And no, KSU will not win it.

I do agree with you. KSU controls their own destiny, but I have heard some so called experts say that KSU will not win another game all year. I'm still not ready to give Nebraska a win in Lincoln. I think KSU will have a chance to win that game.
