One of my favorite quotes is from James Ryle. He says, “Healthy things grow. Growing things change. Changing things challenge us. Challenges cause us to trust God. Trust leads to obedience. Obedience makes us healthy. Healthy things grow.” Isn’t that true? Recently that quote has proved itself to be true in my family as we have recently relocated to this community. When everything is new and you aren’t sure who is who, that is challenging, but the amazing thing is in the midst of that challenge I see the opportunity to grow. How about you? Are you seeing some growth moments in your life? I am convinced of this God doesn’t want the person I am right now to be the final product! He has greater things in store. May you find a greater faith, a place that is full of freedom to worship a living and loving God, and a willingness to grow past where you are now! I love a statement I heard Sunday morning at church, “Life is a series of leavings.” That doesn’t necessarily mean leaving locations or relationships, but a willingness to grow, to be changed, and to become more like Christ. For Christ is for people like me and you!
