Hello everyone!
On the last day of the Unity convention, (see previous blog), presidential hopeful Senator Barack Obama addressed thousands of journalists in a forum type of event which was televised Live on CNN. It lasted about an hour and once it was over you can imagine the rush of people that ran to the front of the stage to shake the Senators' hand. Secret service was everywhere, camera flashes.....pens....autograph requests......cries out for the Senators' attention. Secret service kept telling everyone to put their pens away(safety precaution)...mass chaos. Well...I somehow made my way to the front as he shook everyone's hand. I yelled out, "Senator, will you pose for a picture?!" Senator Obama stops, takes a minute, thinks about it and says, "I'll make an exception for her. I'll do anything for a troop." We posed for a picture and he was on his way. He posed with no one else. The memorable picture you see here. That's it! Senator Barack Obama's tie. Yep! That's him and my eyelashes. Unfortunately, the camera was zoomed in all the way and got nice little close up of his burgundy tie. Luckily, the moment is all on video. My longtime friend, producer, agent, consultant all of the above was recording the entire interaction. Proof! :) It was exciting. I'm working on a RAMOCCAIN moment!!!!!!
