A look from the dock of my friend Cassie's cabin at Little Crawling Stone Lake in Northern Wisconsin (my favorite place in the world). Some of you have probably noticed on air- but I really tried to take advantage of our 80 degree weather last week- by getting a tan! Unfortunately, I got a little more than a "tan" and am peeling a little bit on my arms :( I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I loveeeee summer. I love lots of sunshine, boating, baseball, grilling out, laying out, camping, swimming, biking running- pretty much anything outside in the summer- including Kansas thunderstorms :) What are you favorite things to do in the summer? Where are your favorite places to go? |

dear amy, me too my brother-in-law has a cabin up in northern wisconsin. People in Wisconsin just think it is summer because it is over 30 degrees and all the neighbors start to come out and talk. It is just so nice to walk without slipping on the ice. I love when Cassie has all her friends up and her mom makes all those great drinks in the party ball. Warm weather and sunshine just get you in a better mood. Hope you can make it up north this summer, we like all the young people around to help us hit the ball over the volleyball net and tell stories at the campfire. We are headed up north to put in the piers and boats this weekend and John and I are having the Crawling Stone crew over for brats. We will be thinking of you. Take care.
