A look from the dock of my friend Cassie's cabin at Little Crawling Stone Lake in Northern Wisconsin (my favorite place in the world).

Some of you have probably noticed on air- but I really tried to take advantage of our 80 degree weather last week- by getting a tan! Unfortunately, I got a little more than a "tan" and am peeling a little bit on my arms :( I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I loveeeee summer. I love lots of sunshine, boating, baseball, grilling out, laying out, camping, swimming, biking running- pretty much anything outside in the summer- including Kansas thunderstorms :)  What are you favorite things to do in the summer?  Where are your favorite places to go?

    dear amy, me too my brother-in-law has a cabin up in northern wisconsin. It was on long lake near spooner.I got to spend a whole summer up there. awesomm

    Hi Amy How are you? I hope things are going well for you. Seems like your career is really taking off! good for you. It is nice (and cool) of you to post the Manor. I will be in Kansas City, MO Nov 5-7; thinking about driving up from there on Nov 7 to visit Cassie(that is same weekend Lucy et al will be there.) We could ride together; More later!     That picture makes me want to be at the manor right now! I love summer! It's the "Smilin Honeys" first volleyball game tonight...I'm sure it won't compare to last year's first game with you :)

    I would have to agree about loving summer, even though it is only spring! People in Wisconsin just think it is summer because it is over 30 degrees and all the neighbors start to come out and talk. It is just so nice to walk without slipping on the ice. I love when Cassie has all her friends up and her mom makes all those great drinks in the party ball. Warm weather and sunshine just get you in a better mood. Hope you can make it up north this summer, we like all the young people around to help us hit the ball over the volleyball net and tell stories at the campfire. We are headed up north to put in the piers and boats this weekend and John and I are having the Crawling Stone crew over for brats. We will be thinking of you. Take care.

    Being older I love taking my grandaughter to the zoo here in Emporia, also my favorite summer holiday is the 4th of July the picnicing the fireworks the meaning behind that holiday . I love the way you do the weather,,You are the pretty one onthe weather team..Plus yu]ou are good.
