Parkinson's Support Group

Our support group meets at 5:30pm the first Thursday of every month at Midland Hospice, 200 SW Frazier.  We usually have around 25 to 30 people attend, along with a guest speaker, and a time for questions or discussion.  Anyone with Parkinson's and their guests are welcome to attend.  For more information,  go to www.nekpa.com.  Hope to see you there!

My aunt has been taking medicine for her Parkinsons. She falls down a lot. I'm so worried about her. I give her my support. At times I dont know what to say to her. I know she gets tired of everybody asking her how she feels. What can I say or do for her besides give her the love and support she needs????? what spcial thing would please her, to make her feel better? i need info help,do you have any ideas? All ideas are welcomed. Thank You,I always think of you Rob,Youve always ben in my prayers, too! Take Care & God Blss You and be with you always, too. are family members welcomed to come to the meetings,to help better to understand, and what to say? Rob's Response: You're doing a lot by being there for her. Letting her know she isn't alone is important. Spending time around my nieces and nephews makes me feel better, they always make me laugh and that helps a great deal. If there aren't any kids around the house, a pet can make a big difference. We would be glad to have you and your aunt (and any other family members) come to our next meeting...Thursday, August 7th at 5:30pm, Midland Hospice. Thank you for the kind words!
