Well, the 2010 Election is in the books today; with the Republican sweep the polls had predicted. Kansas Republicans did a very effective job tying statewide Democratic office-holders to President Obama, no matter which office they held. In an earlier blog, I also wrote about the "disappearance" of the Kansas Democratic Party, with very little name recognition or campaign appearances by people like Cheryl Hudspeth and Lisa Johnston in the Topeka-area Congressional and Senate races. Tom Holland did come out of hiding in October and made himself a lot more visible in the closing weeks of the campaign.
On the morning after, what do we make of what happened last night? I'm inviting and asking you on this Wednesday (or whenever you're reading this blog..) to let me know what message you would write to Washington, on a piece of paper, if you could wrap it around your vote Tuesday. Whether it's two words, or enough to put on a bumper sticker; or even more than that, I'd sure like to you to sound off on the message you helped delivered on November 2nd. Ralph
