When I first saw the headline that Whitney Houston had died Saturday afternoon, my first thought was.. oh, no.. I know she had way too much heavy drug involvement, but really, have we lost another superstar to drug abuse? And she was only 48? So I sadly could not say I was shocked to hear the news. I remember the stories of people recently walking out of her concerts saying she had lost her voice and her singing talent.
It was late Saturday night, and early Sunday morning when I watched Whitney's incredible videos on VH1 that the shock and sadness hit me. What a once-in-a-lifetime talent for all of us to enjoy, gone way too soon. I searched the radio on Sunday for any "tributes" to Whitney on any radio stations that were JUST playing her songs. But many stations have played a song or two.
What's your favorite? I'm breaking our time together on the blog into two parts. Your favorite Whitney song, and your favorite video. Here are mine!
Favorite Song: "The Greatest Love of All"
Favorite Video: "I Wanna Dance With Somebody"
What are yours?
