From Ralph Hipp
After meeting Sunday night, with the "coup de grace" on Monday morning, Todd Haley was fired by owner Clark Hunt, and GM Scott Pioli at Arrowhead Monday morning. With a 5-8 season, Hunt said there was no single incident leading them to decide to fire Haley, but "a lack of consistency in their play from one game to the next." Hunt even cited inconsistent team play in the course of a single game.
Pioli, realizing the decimating impact the Chiefs injuries have had on the success and failure of their team, said "I need to do my job better, too.." Something Clark Hunt will remember next time around.
So, fans of the Chiefs nation, what's your opinion on the doomed partnership of Haley and Pioli? Did they constantly bicker with each other, or valiantly work together to save the sinking ship?
Would you have let Haley have at least a couple more years? Some of you may think he deserved that much after winning the AFC West last year. And there are quite a few very good coaches who would like to lead the Chiefs back to the top, in a division that Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos are quickly claiming as their own. We look forward to reading your opinions! Ralph
