This week's story of Chiefs Tight End Leonard Pope saving a young boy who slipped into the deep part of a swimming pool in Americus, Georgia.. is the most inspirational story involving a pro football player.
Any other news about NFL players this week is downright discouraging.
The talks on a new collective bargaining agreement have "blown up," according to the ESPN ticker I like to keep up with. Lawyers are taking a break, getting away from the table, after calling the prospects "totally insane" for a new agreement in the next two weeks.
Are the players and owners really gonna blow up the NFL season this year? Sad to note, with the Chiefs definitely on an upward arc in their progress. So let's say you're a player.. you're a lawyer in these talks.. or you're a bigshot NFL owner. What would do right now to give our Chiefs back to us this August and into the fall? rh
