From Ralph Hipp
So Osama Bin Laden is dead, I think nearly all of us are convinced of it, but one thing we're not convinced about is what sort of retribution America will face in the wake of this bold, and daring action by Navy Seals Team Six.
We heard over and over the comments and soundbites from experts that Al Qaeda these is a many headed monster with factions all over the world, run by Osama Bin Laden disciples and wannabes. Hey, we already knew that. Which group will step up claim dominance in the post-Bin Laden era? Yemen? North Africa? Afghanistan?
I am optimistic the raid that killed Bin Laden Sunday is the beginning of the end of our war on terror. For their closure, I hope that 9/11 families feel the same way, too. One of my thoughts on this, is during this period of possible retribution by the AQ factions, they will be flushed out into the open to face a renewed U.S. military effort to annihilate them too. I hope I'm right on that prediction as well.
But as evil a mastermind as Bin Laden was, we must be vigilant that a young and daring terrorist has come up with an almost perfect diabolical plan to attack us.. not on airlines, or through our food supply, no that's old school. This could an ingenious and deadly attack that even we could not fathom with our high-tech homeland security. So what you do think my fellow Kansans? Is this war winding down? Or just beginning for real? rh
