I'm hearing it more often on radio interviews and political TV commercials. It is THE phrase to use if you want to get the voter's attention and get elected.
"I'm _______ and I'm running for _______ because I want to save our country." Todd Tiahrt says it in his Senate campaign commercials. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich says it in promoting his new book, "To Save America: Stopping Obama's Secular-Socialist Machine."
A congressional candidate in Tiahrt's district also used those same words in his interview with Raubin Pierce on WIBW Radio last week.
Can one candidate make that claim? That they're going to Capitol Hill to save our country? Is that a just an extreme-right Tea Party buzz phrase, an effective political strategy, or a genuine claim? Are we losing America? Are we already lost?
Let 'er rip and give me your political thoughts on this. If we're taking back our country this November, you've gotta tell me where we're going. And if you do that, don't forget you've got to vote on August 3rd and November 2nd. RALPH
