Sharon Alford and I have be-friended each other again on Facebook; and thank goodness, she's been culling through pictures of our college group trip to Washington for the Bicentennial July 4, 1976. What a hoot! Check my earlier picture she sent, just getting your comments on her snapshot of me in front of the IRS Headquarters with my pockets out! Sharon's submitted some new entries from the 76 trip I wanted to share.. mostly what the heck Ralph looked like after college! Hmmm.. my hair's not TOO long!!
Somehow I scored a press pass for all the Bicentennial stuff! I had just retired as a student announcer at WRUF Radio at the University of Florida after I got my degree.
This one's a lot fuzzier, but you can still tell I'm by the Washington Monument and smiling 'cause I just got a ticket to see the White House!
With my very good friend Dinah Brein.. but who's angrier? Ralph or the shoe? This was one of my funnier bits back then.
Hey, if there are any more of these, I'll keep 'em coming. Thanks to Sharon for sending these!
