My original order was.. a grilled chicken wrap with barbecue sauce, and a diet coke.

What I got was.. a fried chicken wrap with lime sauce and a Dr. Pepper.

That's not what I ordered!

My funniest story is going into Jimmy John's (which I absolutely love, and they're close by).. I ordered a tuna sub and the girl behind the counter asked me "Why?  Why are you getting that??"  Well, I just LOLed and said, "well, I don't know.. what's a sandwich that YOU really like??  So she recommended the #12 or something like that, and it was awesome.  So I had a sandwich for dinner that SHE liked!

What are your experiences on ordering something quick to eat?  Do you know you have to stop in a parking space to check your order because you're sure they got it wrong?  Does it really happen that often?  Let me know your thoughts on getting your fast food right, and hey, bring me a tuna sub while you're out there!   Ralph

I have a funny story from the other side of the speaker. While working at Hardee's in Winfield, I had a person in the drive thru ask me if the grilled chicken was deep fat fried. I replied, no, it's grilled. I then had to have someone else take over while I went to the back and laughed myself out. They were dead serious, too. Made me glad I wasn't on the road with them!

yep, that's a good one.. I wonder what the answer to that is at Kentucky Grilled Chicken! rh

My fellow reporters at The Topeka Capital-Journal and I were assigned six years ago to go to 65 area restaurants with drive-thrus, order standard menu items -- such as a typical value meal with no substitutions -- and record the time between placing the order and receiving the food. Wendy's restaurants responded the fastest, on average, while Taco Tico was the slowest. Part of that was because one Taco Tico took 9 minutes, 55 seconds to serve our reporter. We ran an article about it at http://cjonline.com/stories/073003/fla_fastfood.shtml.

good hearing from you, Tim and thanks for the tip on the slowest.. ten minutes for tacos?? bah!
