Long suffering Chiefs fans have one more game before the bye week. It's San Diego, in a game some of the pundits believe KC can win given San Diego's Monday night loss to Denver, an offense in disarray, and a day and a half lost in game preparation. (WIBW will carry the game Sunday at noon.)
So we've gone through half a season under the Haley-Pioli regime. Pretty much buying more time to rebuild the team after Herm and Carl saw the clock run out on their efforts. Most figure we have 3 to 4 years to wait before the team really starts to come together as a winner. Can you wait that long? Here are some of the basic truths of the team so far:
Todd Haley and Scott Pioli are building a team around Matt Cassel.
Everyone else is expendable; Larry Johnson is losing his legs, and Dwayne Bowe could be shipped out at the right draft pick price.
The Chiefs drafting defense, and bypassing offensive lineman in the last draft was a big mistake.
So if you think KC has a plan, write and let us know how long you're willing to wait for the Chiefs to make a comeback. Ralph
