The Cold, Hard Facts About Eating Out

I know it's hot out there, but I also know we Americans have to get a lot more serious about saving electricity.  At home, I'm constantly checking the AC.. it's too cold in here, and I not paying for this!   But I can't control that in some of the places where I stop to grab some lunch.. or where our family might go 'eat out' on the weekends.  Even in August, we have to remember to bring a sweater.  Some of those places are so cold it's like a meat locker in there!  I just want to roam like at home and turn down their thermostat.

Have you ever felt you're in a freezer at McDonald, Arbys, Red Lobster, or Chili's??  Now here's the hard part of my story.

Particularly in the fast food burger joints, the plastic seats are so hard you have to get up and leave when you're finished.  And that's exactly the idea.  They don't want you eating your combo meal then hanging around with your family, relaxing after you've already finished.  I'm almost sure there have been scientific studies done on how long you can sit your buns on their seats after you eat your burger.  After 15 minutes, you've gotta get up and leave for that soft seat in your car.  With drive through, that's not a problem.

Please report to me about your sore bottom or your frozen hands; in the cold, hard facts of eating out.

Hey, and if you're a fast food restaurant manager, can you turn down that AC a little?   Ralph
