Hey, book lovers.. it looks as though Diana Friend of the library is ready to join me in talking about our favorite book we read this summer. Fun! I had to rack my brain for a while.. but I'm sure I can come up with something. (I've been spending some reading time in 2009 going through some really terrific biographies of President Lincoln for his birthday bicentennial.)
I tell ya.. one book I could not put down this summer was another biography.. "First Man" about astronaut and "first man on the moon" Neil Armstrong. (The 40th anniversary of their landing was July 20th..) The thing that fascinated me the most was all the detail of what those crew members have to go through, and the jobs and delicate spacecraft maneuvering they have to perform on a lunar mission. Good stuff. I'll probably talk about that book next Tuesday.
But I can't do this without you.. I'd love to mention your name on 13 News at 4 next week, and the book you loved this summer.. so we can get some other readers hooked on it too! Fire away with those hot titles! Ralph
