Survivor: Supreme Court

People starting to study President Obama's new Supreme Court nominee are beginning to come up with some strong opinions about Judge Sonia Sotomayor.  An Hispanic on the Court.. long overdue?  A token appointment?  You be the judge.  My question here is why do we only have one choice, and we don't get to decide?

That's why we should start Survivor: Supreme Court.

At the premiere of the nomination process, we meet nine highly qualified judges who in their own ways, would be excellent on high court.  They argue cases or discuss their judicial philosophies, and at the end of the program, one of them is voted off.  Just as with Survivor: Tocantins and all the versions before it.. they are dismissed one by one, and the final judge is chosen for a lifetime appointment on the U.S. Supreme Court.

I think what I'm getting at is.. America spends more time choosing a Survivor, or an American Idol than it does finding out more about one of the nine justices who will sit in judgment on laws that affect our future.  Don't we deserve that much?    rh
