It seems almost unbelievable that President Barack Obama would make it through his first 100 days in office without a Cabinet Secretary to run the government's largest agency. We still have no Secretary of Health and Human Services, but I'm throwing this out there to see if you agree with me.. that is all going to end today.
Forget the partisan arguments about Governor Sebelius and how much money was contributed to her PAC by Dr. George Tiller. Forget our Republican Senators backing the Democratic Governor all the way because she's a Kansan. Mexico and the United States have placed the makings of a major health catastrophe in our hands.. (and by the way, don't forget to wash them frequently during this scare..) After the Tiller donations, the statehouse budget squabbles and the tax payment oversights, it will be turn out to be Mexico's wave of swine flu that going to sweep our Governor to Washington very quickly. The wait has been been way too long, no matter what your politics. President Obama has to have someone at the helm of HHS to ride herd on the government's battle against his virus, and this will be (mark my words) the issue that will place Mark Parkinson in the Governor's chair before the end of the week.
