My thoughts went back in time tonight to all the poor people who starved during the Great Depression and would stand in line for a good hot bowl of soup. I was thinking about those times after grabbing one of my 4 for $5 cans of Chicken Noodle Soup so I could stay here at the station.. and stay warm. Hey, I like soup, and some of it's pretty cheap. I'm actually liking some of those low sodium soups without all that junk in 'em. The salt content in some of those soups is incredible. How can anybody with high blood pressure eat that stuff?
What kind of soup do you like? And has Porubsky's got the best chili in town.. or has someone got something better that I can go get after the 6:00 news? How about a good, inexpensive salad bar? Let's share some healthy tips on some good soups and salads that don't cost so much. Ralph
