Hey, folks.. we really appreciate your response to my I'm Backing (McCain) (Obama) Because.. blog.. It's been a hit with the viewers and blogers, and gave us some interesting comments to read through. We'll do a blog with the OPPOSITE question in the next few days as we get closer to the election.
Whichever man becomes the 44th President of the United States, the transition to the White House will include the crucial choices of who will serve in his Cabinet. Here are some suggestions, based on some early news reports and speculation I've heard so far.
BARACK OBAMA: WIBW Radio got it out there today that Barack may be considering talk show queen Oprah Winfrey as his Ambassador to England and the Court of St. James. Since our 4:00 news/ talk show is up against Oprah, I am ALL FOR THIS! I think she would do an excellent job. Many Kansans have probably thought for a long time that Governor Kathleen Sebelius should be considered for Department of Health and Human Services for her background in health care and the insurance industry.
JOHN McCAIN: I would be surprised is McCain doesn't choose Mitt Romney for Secretary of the Treasury, and Rudy Giuliani as his next Attorney General. If Senator McCain is really interested in making these choices, he needs to let the voters know about it and use that on the campaign trail in the final two weeks. That also takes some of the heat off Sarah Palin in the final days.
Do you have some big ideas of people you've seen on the news who would make good Cabinet secretaries? Let us know about the prospects you believe would be good to have around in the next Administration. RH
