Viewers have tracked my progress since I came on with my croaky voice last week, and was busy fighting off a summer cold. (Still another round of the snifflies around 10:00 newstime last night.) But when you're on TV and you struggle with talking, but know you really need to come in to work, it's a very uncomfortable feeling. I've checked with two of my buddies just back from our trip to Alaska who also took on a big summer cold in the cold weather of Sarah Palin country (how do they not get pneumonia living up there??) They hope to feel better soon.
I'm so glad to be able to talk to you every night! It's good to feel good! Tell me how you're feeling, and remember these tips. Even though I have the Kleenexs close by, I want to get rid of these sniffles once and for all. Let's keep washing our hands and using those cleansing wipes on our computer keyboards. Rented movies and books checked out from the library are germ havens. Of course, I always think it's a nice thing when people don't sneeze or cough in your face. Happy fall season everybody, and keep listening to see how we all sound. RH
