Just for the record, yep.. Brett Favre is #4 for the New York Jets. He keeps his same number in that traditional "holding up the new jersey" picture, as he and Deanna Favre get ready to "move to New Jersey." For all us Kansas City Chiefs fans, that also means a trip to the Meadowlands for our "good guys" to face Favre here on CBS and WIBW-TV October 26th at high noon. But before we get there, there's another question to answer about pro football players departing Wisconsin.
There are rumblings from Chiefs coach Herm Edwards that it's time for KC to pack up from River Falls this month, and not come back either. He wants his team to have its pre-season practices at Arrowhead in the new practice facilities, invite the fans, charge 'em a little money and send 'em home happy. And not from 6 hours away. Voters in River Falls like having the Chiefs in town every summer.. their shops sell lots of NFL merchandise. It's good for business. Tax proceeds have been appropriated for the upkeep of the practice facilities there. And Carl Peterson likes having the Chiefs a little farther away from KC in the cooler clime. This week, it proved to be a good decision.
Let's hear from you Chiefs fans. Have you ever made the trip up there? Do you want to see the Chiefs get ready for the season closer to home? At least they'll be home next Saturday night for the Arizona Cardinals game. If Herm Edwards get his way, they may be home for good. RH
