I have, now and then on the RH blog, detailed my criticisms of the weather anytime I go to a Royals game. One time too cold, another time too windy. Sunday's game against the HOT Tampa Bay Rays featured that three-run homer from Billy Butler. (That's the homer that hit the foul pole. The dent in the pole was shown on ESPN.) I saw Billy swing the bat, and I saw the ball hit the pole and bounce back onto the field. But I couldn't see the ball rise cuz I had to stay in the shade near the hot dog stands. My knees were burning where they weren't covered by my shorts. We spent 3 innings in the shade, then came back out and stayed till the Royals won 6-1.
You can't tell it from watching me on the news, but I've got sunburned knees! I've never had that happen before. Folks, at least do what I did, wear a cap to cover up your head this week.
I wonder how long it takes for "kneeburns" to go away?? Ralph
