Helping Manhattan Saturday, Helping Chapman Sunday

Don't forget the call for volunteers in Manhattan Saturday morning.  Please put on your work clothes and your work gloves, then come on over to Bill Snyder Family Stadium at 9am.  It should last about three hours.  (Don't forget the charity auction of items that survived the tornado winds.)  That starts at 1:00 at 2708 Amherst in Manhattan.  Proceeds from the sale, put on by the "Purple Wave" will be donated to help storm victims through the Salvation Army.

Rossville is stepping up to the plate Sunday afternoon.  Please come one, come all, to the Rossville baseball diamonds for lunch.  Free will donations are being accepted for Chapman.. for the great meal you'll enjoy from Puffy's!  That starts at high noon.  Then stick around for a Rossville-Chapman American Legion baseball doubleheader with games at 2:00 and 4:00 Sunday.

If you're at either event (or both) please blog back about your feelings on helping Kansas tornado victims.   And thanks so much!  RH

Was unable to attend either event this weekend, Ralph, but would you and WIBW please continue to keep us informed about future fundraisers for helping the Kansas tornado victims? There seems to be such a need for help, and if we each do what we can, perhaps we can help make a difference. Thanks!!

RESPONSE: You bet we will! Thanks for your interest.
