Raubin and Megan (known only by their first names from the show that you either love or hate on WIBW Radio) came on our 4:00 show Tuesday afternoon. While we could only chat for 4 minutes here on the 13 side of things.. I normally catch at least 45 minutes of their show every afternoon on 580. I was intrigued by something Megan mentioned for only a few seconds today, and wanted to flesh it out for your reactions. A caller brought up how City Manager Norton Bonaparte seems to be the one who wants to shake hands and cut ribbons, and Mayor Bill Bunten is the one who wants to untie his hands, get busy cleaning up Topeka and keep the city from wasting your tax money. Megan made the comment that "maybe they're in the wrong jobs. Maybe they should switch jobs and go from there."
Hey, what do you think about that idea? If you don't believe this city manager experiment is working, and you believe Bill Bunten could improve the capital city if he only had the power to back it up, write us with your reactions! Hmmm.. can you see Mayor Bill Bunten telling the Council what he wants THEM to do for Topeka?? RH
