Some callers to the 13 Newsroom wondered why their normal polling precinct was closed, or had no voting machines inside to let them vote in the Presidential race. We've actually explained for the past 4 days that Kansas was in caucus mode Tuesday night for the Democrats, and this Saturday for the Republicans. But their calls bring up a real interesting question.. Would Kansans rather vote? We're so used to it, especially in presidential election years. The Legislature axed the primary and its pricetag of at least 1 million dollars. But some of our Topeka radio pundits rightly asked, why the legislature would cut the million giving us the right to vote, when it's costing nearly $300 million to give our capitol a facelift.
Did you want to vote today? Or do you like the group caucus idea this week? RH
