Coach Todd Haley bounced Monday's on-field practice session for two movies at the Hollywood Theatres in St. Joseph. J.B. reports to me the players were given the option of seeing Sly Stallone's "The Expendables," or Steve Carell and Paul Rudd in "Dinner for Schmucks" as part of his team building day at the movies. Following their 20-10 loss to Atlanta Friday night, and their upcoming game against Josh Freeman and the Tampa Bay Bucs this Saturday (on WIBW and MyTV, by the way..) it sounds like a good idea.
Then we started coming up with the names of the movies we'd LIKE the Chiefs to see after doing not so well in their opening exhibition game. Our crack sports crew came up with:
"Interception," starring Matt Damon
"Eat, Pray, Lose," starring Julia Roberts
..and one of our viewers suggested another Steve Carell movie, "Despicable Me." Pretty good stuff!
I only thought of good football movies like "Rudy," and "Remember the Titans" to get them fired up and inspired.
What movie would you like the Chiefs to see if they get another break from the practice field? We're lookin forward to seeing your real, or made up titles for the next Chiefs feature. Ralph
