                                                                 Hanging on the beach in Waikiki.

 

Quickly learned that the sand makes a good tripod to hold the camera.  (takes fifteen minutes to clean it , though)

    

The sunset on the Big Island was incredible....took these pictures off our balcony.

   

A manta ray is playing just behind us along the cliff.                   Melissa checks out a waterfall.

   

                         As my brother said, we were in the middle of the ocean, but ended up in a pool.

    A hammerhead keeps an eye (a strange eye) on me.

 

                            A quick stop at an aquarium gave us a close-up look at a sting ray.

   

      We were dropped off on a coral reef to snorkel....a friendly turtle soon stopped by to visit.

   

                                    The turtle dives deep.....followed by our buddy John.

 

               Hanging on the balcony, again.                               Melissa runs on the beach in Maui.

   

             A definite highlight....a  whale puts on a show for us during our whale-watching tour.

   

  

  Melissa gets her feet wet in Maui on a beautiful evening.

    O.O you saw a wild humpedback whale breeching...when I was in Florida all I saw was a few manatees....ummm...yea...plus the place were we went swimming in the ocean, one could not see an inch infront of them....comon lucky!

    nice pics. looked like fun. have you modeled swimwear before????......RESPONSE: Thanks, we really enjoyed ourselves. As for the modeling......swimwear no, but I was an underwear model for a few years. I specialized in the long, insulated ones;)

    Melissa, Good to see you back on the news desk this week, we missed you. I was following your pictures as you sent them back during the trip and these are great. Its beautiful over there isn't it? Bet you hated to come back and just in time for the big snow/ice storm or did you pick it up somewhere on your flight back, ha,ha.

    RESPONSE: We were back in time for the ice pellets to hit us in the face Friday - just glad we didn't get the 18 inches of snow they saw in western Kansas.

    Beautiful photos,thank you for sharing with us. Great photos of the two of you,glad you were able to get some. The smiles on your faces tells how much you enjoyed the time and how relaxed you both were,which is what a vacation should be!
