What is up Friends,

I looked  back in the archives and look what I found.....

It was a year ago when I wrote this blog and thought I would pull it back out, dust it off, and re-post.

What does this year at the Bram have to offer after the Hawks lost a squeaker at Mizzou and K-State on a

current win streak.

Lets just say I can't wait.....can you?

                MY EARS ARE BLEEDING

Hello Friends,.....I said Hello Friends,.... I'm sorry I can't hear so well after experiencing the KSU-KU game.

My question is could Bramlage Coliseum NOW be louder than KU's Allen Fieldhouse???

I have had the honor of working games at both places, including the game in the video, and I think it is a toss up which place is louder.

KU fans will now have to take the sign down in Manhattan that reads Allen Fieldhouse West... Purple Reigns in the Little Apple.

I guess the reason for being so loud this year was due to all the K-State fans bawling after their loss. Rock Chalk Jayhawks KU.

Response: Hey there Bubba.

The Hawks played a solid game for sure! It was fun and yes- The rivalry is back!!!!!!!!

Now where is my tissue : (

You are too funny! I think I may have forgotten history too! What happened last year on January 30? I think that is a day I would like to repeat over and over and over again! :D Do you get to cover the game again this Saturday? If so, I'm jealous!

Response: Hey again Ms. Angie.

Yes I drew the short straw and will be forced to have to be courtside again. WHY ME?????

I am looking for a real good game from both teams and what happens- happens.

Rock Chalk Wildcat!

This is AWESOME! :D I have bled purple all of my life! I remember watching it on tv and thinking holy camole...we just did that! My ears were ringing thinking of the excitement of this huge win! We might not have been National Champions, but we sure did beat them in our house! Way to go Cats! I am excited for a repeat this weekend! One word for last years game...exhilarating! Thanks for digging this up! :D

Response: What is up Angie?

I think I had the same response as you when I played the video from last year...WOW.

I am sure those Jayhawk fans would just rather forget that day but ,as they say, "If we forget about our history- then we are destined to repeat the past!"

Which makes me ask the question, "What happened last year??? I seem to have forgotten :) "

Posted by: Anonymous Beasley was asked after the game in lawrence if it was louder then Bramlage. His response was "10 times louder."

Response: Hey there Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous....I am thinking that Mr. Beasley's hearing was not quite back after the Bramlage incident so he didn't quite hear the question. 10 times the volume in Manhattan would equal hearing aids for everyone!

Posted by: T-shane "My question is could Bramlage Coliseum NOW be louder than KU's Allen Fieldhouse???" It might have been on par with Allen Fieldhouse for one night. Thing is, they do it night in and night out. The purples only do it once a year for their ***ahem*** "National Championship".

Response: Well ya know T-shane...they got to start some where. I have heard from fans who do go to the KU games that the volume has come down through the years. Might have something to do with the seating arrangement they now have in the Field House. True???

Posted by: KU no allen is Way louder. there is no such chance. sorryh bud.

Response: OK Mr. KU if you say so.......But I have been to games in both places and that night at K-State was a night to top all. I'm just saying (as you kids say).

Posted by: shane That was the loudest basketball game I have been to.I'm sure uk will be UP for the next big game march 1.Should have a good answer by then.

Response: Huh? What? Excuse me?

Let me adjust my hearing aid since loosing part of my hearing from the game.

I heard comments that it got soooo loud that it hurt their ears. I must say by listening to the talk on sports talk shows and comments from national people who were at the game talk --- Bramlage is OFFICIALLY the noisest place in the country to watch basketball.

Agree?

Posted by: RS You couldn't get me into that kind of environment, way too loud. I enjoy a good ballgame, but I pay for a seat to watch, not to stand up the entire game. Ever experienced the Osage City High School Band? They are very talented group and obviously enjoy themselves, but they play WAY TOO LOUD for inside a gymnasium.

Response: To each is own RS. I prefer to be courtside with a camera on my shoulder dodging the players as the come flying out of bounds. I'm strange that way.

I have not heard Osage City band but remember who they are playing too....Kids who normally have their I-pods cranked full blast in their ears...those crazy kids love that loud music- I hear.
