I'm sure Superintendent-designate Kevin Singer is well-qualified to be the next USD 501 Superintendent.

But what do you bloggers think of the selection process.   It was all done behind closed doors by School Board members.  Is that the way to pick a man or woman to lead the entire school district?

Wouldn't it have been better to have Mr. Singer meet with teachers, meet with students, meet with parent groups, take some tough questions from unhappy people, see how he reacts to the diversity in that large school district?

This isn't about a huge business picking its new CEO.   USD 501 is a huge entity, but I've gotta think getting a lot more public input would have been the way to find a new leader.

Let's hear blogger ideas.

I think your company is at a new low when you put Rob Peppers on your cox problem.my father has the same problem as Mr.Peppers As a matter of fact He had his surgery 2 days before Mr.Peppers.He is not doing as good as Mr.Peppers due to his age(88).As far as WIBW I will not support the companies that advertize on your station.I will watch TV but not WIBW no matter what you and cox do.

Mr. Singer didn't stand a chance due to the fact of the charter school squable and his past experience with some of the parents. He did his job and is now paying for it. Has anyone heard what the new man is getting? Not hardly but I can tell you with salary and perks I understand its around a quarter mil a year and that is from a very reliable source. After all he is a public employee and salary is public information if the statin wished to acquire it.
